On March 22, 2002 the wedding took place at our home in north central North Carolina. Our home is an octagonal house set up on a pedestal in the trees on the sloping southern hillside of Hanging Rock Mountain underneath the rocky incline of Cook's Wall.
We elected to have a small, private ceremony, comprised only of ourselves, a minister [Patti Suggs], our joint ring bearer and neighbor [Mike Callaghan], witnesses [Lorraine and Aaron Shearer and Teri Byrd {by speakerphone}], our photographer [Neil McClanahan], and of course, Ahna, our faithful, canine companion. |

 In keeping with the low key approach to the wedding, there are not many photos. So, we would also like to include the text of the ceremony throughout the presentation if you'd care to read it.
